Halcyon Haven
2023 FCCLA Interior Design National Champion
This project was designed by Camden Andrew Michalek & Cary Evans for Cedar Park High School FCCLA. Designed as a therapy center for at risk teens in a Chicago suburb, this space created an atmosphere to attract teens and provide a safe and inviting space for them to attend therapy and hang out outside of school.
The building also has an attached studio apartment for the Haven’s director, designed utilizing techniques for small-spaces and tiny homes.
This project placed first at both the national level and in the state of Texas, and fifth at the Texas Region V leadership conference.
